The BMA promotes and encourages the development of manufacturing operations suitable to the community and capable of making a contribution to the economic and social development of Barbados.

In addition, the BMA represents the interests of manufacturers and other producers before Government, local, regional and extra-regional bodies with the capacity to make rules effecting the interest and well-being of its members.
